Some people don’t just create connections they build family. Saeed Al-Mesnad also known as El Captain was the heart of Al Mesnad, but his kindness, generosity, and unwavering positivity made everyone he met feel like they truly belonged. His impact ran so deep that his legacy couldn’t simply be remembered—it had to be celebrated. To honor his incredible influence on people's lives, the Al Mesnad family, along with the entire Qatar community, launched a futsal tournament in his name. But beyond the game, this event became a testament to the values he stood for, unity, kindness, and the power of bringing people together.

OUR THOUGHTS

This couldn’t be just another football trophy. Captain was one of a kind, and his tribute had to be just as unique. Rather than following the traditional sports trophy formula, we focused on capturing the essence of his values—connection, kindness, and belonging. The goal was to create something instantly recognizable, a piece that stood apart from any football tournament award. More than a trophy, it had to be a work of art—a lasting symbol of the man who made everyone feel like family.

SOLUTION

We broke away from convention to create a trophy that stands as a sculptural tribute to Captain’s legacy. The wooden base, crafted from a traditional Qatari dhow, represents his heritage and the foundation of Al Mesnad. The stainless steel structure reflects his vision, strength, and lasting impact on future generations. More than an award, it’s a symbol of connection, generosity, and the power of making everyone feel like family.
